Radyo Pilipinas News...(Source : POEA) POEA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac has recently ordered the preventive suspension of Primeworld Manpower Agency after finding it liable of the charges of excessive collection of placement fees, non-issuance of official receipt, and gross violations of the POEA standard employment contract. The agency has its office address at Rooms 201 and 204, Estrella Condominium, 858 San Andres St., Malate Manila. Six (6) Filipino workers were recruited and deployed by the said agency to Taiwan and was made to pay Primeworld Manpower placement fees amounting to at least PhP100,000.00 each without the corresponding receipts. They worked as factory workers for Sixfull Industrial Co. Ltd and received a monthly salary of NT$18,780.00. Section 3 of Rule V, Part 2 of the POEA Rules and Regulations prescribes a placement fee ceiling equivalent to a hired worker’s one month salary. The workers also alleged that a broker, Taander Manpower Co. Ltd., made them pay the amounts ranging from NT$20,000 to NT$70,000 as condition for their return to their Taiwan employer. Cacdac said that the sworn statements and documents submitted by the complainants clearly showed that Primeworld Manpower has committed serious offenses thus the need to prevent other applicants from becoming victims of the agency’s deceitful schemes. A recruitment agency under preventive suspension is not allowed to engage in any recruitment activity
