Rahu and Ketu : The most suspicious planets We can see most of the astrologer discussing more n more on Rahu/Ketu and spreading unnecessarily phobia about them, but actually no one wants to know what rahu/ ketu are actually and how they behave and how to read them in a horoscope. Rahu & Ketu are nodes of Moon, Shadow planet, as they are shadow planet so there have no ownerships of signs. There are controversies on their exaltation and Debilation, Some astrologers say Rahu Ketu exalted in Taurus and Scorpio and some says in Gemini and Sagittarius. I do not consider any of those. There are controversies on their aspects too, 5,7,9 or 5,9 or 12th aspects. As per my experience and knowledge, They are shadow planet, so they don’t have self physical appearance and self characteristics , They adopt the characteristics of the Nakshtra,conjuction (with the planet they are placed), house, Sign, Sign Lord and the planets aspecting them. They get power and strength like this. This is the reason why they are considered the most powerful planets in this Kaliyuga, means they put their guns on another shoulder and shoot, they are nothing but everything. If we keep such things in mind we can read them in better way. Rahu creates illusions, gives sudden gains and losses. For example well placed rahu with benefics planet will take to the top level without much efforts and bad Rahu with malefics will give losses after much efforts.
