Rahul Gandhis insistence on six anti-corruption bills seems to have back fired. The minority faces of the Congress publicly chided the party leadership on the issue of the Prevention of Communal Violence Bill. Both Minority Affairs Minister Rehman Khan and Rashid Alvi expressed displeasure that Centre did not pass the bill as an ordinance. Im really disappointed with it and have raised the matter with both the Prime Minister and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, said Rehman Khan. Alvi also differed with the party on its decision to provide reservations for Jats. In the wake of the Muzaffarnagar riots, Jats have been awarded reservations. It has sent the wrong message to the Muslim community, said Alvi. Alvi even a shot off a letter to Sonia Gandhi claiming that vested interests in the party are weakening secular forces and strengthening the communal hand.We need to introspect and reiterate our commitment to secular issues, said Alvi. sunday-guardian/news/congress-minority-leaders-unhappy-with-centre
