Raiders baseball team beats Pace twice Navarre High School fielded their first baseball team in 1999. Since then, the Raiders faced the Pace Patriots on the baseball diamond about 30 times. Countless players, coaches and fans never experienced the thrill of victory over the rivals from the north end of the county. That all changed Monday, March 31 in Pace. The Raiders faced the Pace Patriots for the second time in four days at home Thursday, April 3. They were looking to prove that their 6-0 shutout victory a few days earlier was no fluke. After throwing six pitches to close out the game Monday, Jared Gonzalez was called on to toe the rubber in the rematch. Read more in the April 10 issue of Navarre Press or subscribe online here.
