Raila Odingas Referendum Nonsense; The supreme people of Kenya should start preparing and identifying potential areas of interest in case of any referendum. A few examples will suffice for now. 1. Kenyans may want to reduce the number of governors from 47 to between 8 and 11. 2. Kenyans may want to reduce the number of ward representatives (MCAs) by more than half. 3. Kenyans may want to do away, completely, with the Senate. 4. Kenyans may want to do away, completely, with the position of women representative. 5. Kenyans may want to do away, completely, with the position of deputy governor. 6. Kenyans may want to place an age limit – of say less than 65 years – for those wanting to become President. 7. Kenyans may want to reduce the number of MPs to the original number of 222 (inclusive of 12 nominated MPs) or less. 8. Kenyans may want to place a maximum salary (inclusive of allowances), for MPs and governors, at Sh.500,000.
