Raindropss kick starts 375 years Madras day celebrations launching NAMMA CHENNAI theme song for the city. Raindropss in association with Sathyabama University launched “Namma Chennai” a theme song for namma city recently in a grand evening held at Hyatt Regency, being the hospitality partner. Oscar winning music composer, A.R.Rahman has been constantly striving to use his popularity and skill for the sake of world peace and harmony and his sister Music Director A.R. Raihanah as the brand ambassador of Raindropss, has composed this track to highlight the pride and culture of Chennai city. Playback singers Gana Bala, Yazin, Hemachandra, A.R.Raihanah and Shamsudeen has lent their voice’s for this song, lyrics has been penned by Vivek Velmurugan and directed by Aswin Sakthivel. Director Vishnuvardhan, Actors Dhansika, Mahendran, Abhinav and Dr. Adams James have been featured and shot across the various landmarks of Chennai and also in the beautiful poolside of Hyatt. First copy of the song was launched by Drummer Sivamani & S.Ve.Sekhar and received by Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Justice S.Vimala and A.R.Raihanah in the presence of Dr.Maria Zeena Johnson, Managing Director of Sathyabama University and Aravind, Founder and Creative Head of Raindropss. Musical Maestro A.R.Rahman has sent his wishes for this project through a video which was screened during the launch as a surprise, ‘it was a dream come true and a biggest blessing from the legend for our efforts and dedication for Namma Chennai. “Lots of Love and best wishes for the creators of namma Chennai anthem and for namma Chennai” was the wishes from the legend ARR, Says Aravind Jayabal, Founder & Creative head of Raindropss. Raindropss is well known and popular for delivering the social awareness messages to the public in the form of theme songs and short films through entertainment and media.
