Rainfall over #Queensland has flourished as Falls smash the 50mm for the first time in a long time #QLDWeather #QLDFloods #Floods #QLDStorms #Storms Rain started early in the morning and didnt really stop, and hasnt really stopped. Although there was no real focus for falls above 50mm, the Weather Gods had something else on their mind. Falls across a wide area of Queensland smashed the 50mm, with 1 location topping the triple digits. For some areas, especially around Charleville and in the Southern Reaches of the State, this was the best Rain for the year, or at least for 5-6 months. Totals: • Upper Bee Creek 162mm • Sucrogen Weir 79mm • Myendetta 71mm • Bakers Bend 67mm • Devervill 64mm • Eungella 62mm • Mount Vince West 62mm • Koumala 61mm • Hannaville 61mm • Munburra Road 60mm • Prospect Creek 60mm • Wallen 60mm • Dows Creek 59mm • Marian Weir 59mm • Mount Jukes 59mm • Cunnamulla 58mm • Finch Hatton 58mm • Binnowee 57mm • Carfax 56mm • Myall Grove 56mm • Scartwater 56mm • Bakers Creek 55mm • Homebush 55mm • Rowallan Park 54mm • Cunnamulla 53mm • Walkerston 53mm • Ridgelands 53mm • Charleville 52mm • Eaglefield 52mm • Mantuan Downs 52mm • Echo Hills 51mm • Mirani Weir 51mm • Sarichs 51mm • Petrona 50mm • Mirani 50mm • Gargett 50mm These are some amazing falls, and for many of these places, the Rain is very much needed as theyre in Drought-Declared Areas. More Rain is expected for the Central Coast today, as well as the Darling Downs and South-East Coast. The Darling Downs and South-East are both Drought-Declared, so lets hope theres some falls like this that come out of it.
