Rainy Day In Georgia It was a long time ago I hadn’t been married long just a couple of years. I had gone fishing on the river on an ole dirt road. A large thunder head came up out of the blue. Its common here in Georgia for we called it dog day showers. Lighting was flashing and I decided to call the fishing trip over. I had caught a good mess of fish for supper. So I get into the ole truck and start back up the ole dirt road. It was raining cats and dogs as the ole timers would say. Out of the blue here stood a beautiful girl beside the road soaking wet. Her hair had fallen into her eyes and I just had to stop and see if she needed a ride. I opened the door on the passengers side and looked at her and laughed. I said rainy weather were having young lady bet you could use a ride. She just looked at me hesitant to get in but finally she managed to do so. Being a gentleman I got out and went around and shut the door for her. I’m a southern gentleman that’s what is expected of us being men. She watched me as I walked back in front of the truck never took her eyes off me even when I go back in. To make her fell at ease I said are you from around here. She still never spoke so I turned on the radio. Finally her hair had fallen to one side and I could see she had kind eyes. Out of the blue un expecting what happened next she had slid over closer to me and then she gently gave me a kiss. I said my wife is jealous and wouldn’t like this at all. She gently kissed me again right on the lips. I found myself falling in love with her and I hugged her and she kissed me again. I leaned over kissed her and whispered gently into her ear I’ll call you sally you darn wet dog. wd.
