Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan started in Mangan block September, 11: Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA) 2014 started in Mangan block level from 11th till 13th September started at Mangan public ground, fire complex and at MSSS. The RGKA had 9 events to be organized in outdoor and indoor sports, football, volleyball, boxing, taekwondo, khokho, TT, Badminton, basketball etc for boys and girls. Each block has been provided Rs. 60,000 and remaining Rs. 40,000 will be released after completion of the final event, total Rs.4 lacs for four block level will be provided as per Ministry of sports & youth affairs department, government of India. At Mangan district today the events were organized for, Ringhim-Nampatam GVK and Mangshila-Tibuk GVK. The inauguration programme was attended by Zilla Adhyaksha(N), Ms.Anguli Lepcha as chief guest, Deputy director, sports & youth affairs department, Dr.RB Biswakarma, MNP president, K.J. Bhutia and councilors, Assistant directors from Kabi, Passingdang, Chungthang and Mangan GVK, all zilla panchayat, and participants.
