Rajma Bengali style Ingredients Rajma 2 small cups ( Jammu rajma if available) Onion 1 big chopped fine Tomatoes 2 big chopped fine Adrak 1 inch piece grated Jeera 1tsp Jeera pwdr 1 TSP Dhaniya pwdr 1 TSP Red chilli pwdr 1 TSP Haldi pwdr 1 TSP Cloves 3 Cardamom 3 Dalchini ¹/² inch Powder cloves, cardamom and dalchini together to get the garam masala Salt to taste Ghee 1 tbsp Method Soak rajma overnight and pressure cook with enough water. I add a small potato as it gives it thickness. Heat ghee in Kadhai. Add jeera and onion and haldi. Fry till golden brown. Then add tomatoes and adrak with salt to taste. Mix, cover and cook till tomatoes are mashed. Then add red chilli, dhaniya and jeera pwdr. Mix and add the rajma. Then put the garam masala and boil for 3 mins. Before removing from gas add whole green chilies and dhaniya patta.
