Ralph A. Cooper, 84, died Thursday at The Sitron Home of New Hartford. Born in Detroit, he had been a resident of Syracuse for over 50 years following his graduate studies in Social Psychology at SU. He had been a mental health administrator for the NYS office of mental health in the Syracuse office for almost 20 years. Ralph was a proud veteran of The Army Air Corps during WWII, and also served during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife Pamela Wondro; his daughter Dr. Maura Cooper and her husband Dr. Bruce Siegel, and his son Owen A. Cooper; his granddaughters Orli and Leila; and his brothers Mark Cooper, and Rabbi David A. (Shoshana) Cooper. Funeral services will be conducted at 3PM sharp, Monday, at Sisskind Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Friends Service Committee.
