Ramadan : 20 Mosques in 20 days series by Azraf Ullah Day 2: If Adams center was the father of all mosques, then Islamic Education Center in Potomac, MD (IEC) is the mother. When i was at a really depressing time in my life i came here to soul search and get some answers. Even though i didnt even speak their language and was from a different culture i was welcomed with a type of warmth that was unfathomable. Over the past year i have made many friends, have learned a lot more than my naive self would have ever learned if I never came here. Other than that this mosque is so beautiful and vibrant it fills my heart with joy whenever i come, and im sure yours will be too if you ever visit. And of course the obligatory selfie!
