Ramadan Food Rations Project Every year prior to Ramadan I operate a Ramadan rations project of food parcels to the destitute and needy. This has now ran for almost two decades. A food parcel contains just the basics for a family, cooking oil, chapatti flour, rice, tea, sugar, cereal and/ pulses, gram flour, Roo Afza, dates, salt /spices etc. The cost is approx £25.00 for one food unit. Over the years some folk have expressed an interest to contribute towards this cause, and share in the blessings, of this rewarding deed. Brothers and sister who are unable have already expressed interest and have donated their Fadiya, Zakat and Sadkai. Last year some two hundred deserving families were fed and watered through this blessed month. The situation in Pakistan is at its worst ie inflation, load shedding, hunger, lack of bare necessities. As we all know it is the old, weak, poor and vulnerable suffer the most. This is our duty, as they should not even need to ask. We have been blessed with so much and let’s do our duty and feed a few hungry mouths, over this sacred month. For you it is so little, and yet to them it can be so heart-warming and satisfying.
