Ramayana - Last part: My dear friends!...Today I have finished my last part of Ramayana with 208 pictures. It was almost like a maiden attempt after Shakuntala. Let me share my experience at this stage with our young artists of SALI. It was on my confidence I started this attempt of making pictures for Ramayana.As the story progressed and my pictures followed, I realized my shortcomings and difficulties..which helped me in overcoming it..and the result is improvement in sketching.Some times I drew very carelessly and those pictures still need to be redrawn. Now I have gained the confidence tht I can draw pictures for any story. here anatomy plays a vital role.I never copied ay picture during my sketching .The picture below is the only one I took for reference . The story was published by Bhavans University in English without any illustarations in it and written by C Rajagopalachari. I thank the author and publishers for helping me.At the same time I sincerely express my gratitude to many of our SALI members who encouraged me throughout like Nanada kumar Kandamangalam, Nandakumar Melepat , Manjunathan Embranthiri, Gurudattji, and many other members ...I request my young artists to take anatomy seriously and practice everyday for improvement..because no short cut possible in anatomy..No computer or technology will help you,,,practice..practice,,practice....that is the only answer for improvement...Thank you all once gain for your continuous support and encouragement in bringing me to this level!..
