Ramblin Thoughts But Please Dont Call Me Rose A friend posted about removing penmanship from a schools curriculum tp follow is my reply: bing/images/search?q=Penmenship+Cursive+Calligraphy+Alphabet&FORM=RESTAB Calligraphy (the formal word) is an art, an expression of the mind, heart and soul, for any society to forsake this art is the basis of the collapse of that society If penmanship is removed from education who then would be able to read ancient manuscripts, Priests and Holy Men??? As history has shown the few holding all the knowledge leads to dark ages of suppression and civil strife for hundreds of millions often leading to the burning books or even rewriting of history to suit the ruling class. A perfect example is the sacking of the Great Library of Alexandria (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_of_Alexandria), not once but repeatedly, the knowledge lost is/was insurmountable. The goal is not to forget and reject, the goal should be to teach and learn, isnt this very basis of the word EDUCATE.
