Ramblings Today we left early to head south and pick up two of the goats that were shacking up with some handsome bucks. We brought our wayward girls home and Im hoping they thank us for the trip by gifting us with some lovely kids in a few months. I love driving past the poplar forest when we had that way. The fog on the trees today made it especially beautiful. We made it home in time to do some puttering around the farm....for me that meant walking the pig fence, also known as battling the forest as it attempts to reclaim its lost land. Ever notice that fencing is NEVER a done project. You breathe that huge sigh of relief after you finish putting up a new fence thinking DONE.....and then a few days later you start walking the fence line to make sure its still secure and if not, you start the repairs. We also did a bit of target practice with both the bow and handgun. Now its time to feed Hubs. Fried pork chops (from our own pasture pork), potatoes and green beans (from last years garden) and pickled beets (also from our garden). I hope you are all having a fabulous Saturday.
