Ramires has been given assurances about his Chelsea future by Jose Mourinho, The Sun report. Manager Mourinho apparently telephoned Ramires and youngster Kevin de Bruyne to tell them he wanted them to stay at Stamford Bridge despite speculation about their futures. Ramires is quoted as saying: “My phone rang the other day and it was a surprise to find it was Mourinho calling me. “We talked a lot and he said nice things. He told me that he had asked both Inter Milan and Real Madrid to sign me when he was coaching those teams and he added that he’s happy I am now in the Chelsea squad. “That made me very happy and now I am really eager to start working with Mourinho. “I told him that he can count on me and that I’ll do all I can to help him be a winner during his second spell at the club. “I was already keen to work with him and now I am even more motivated after finding out that he wants to work with me. I am feeling we will have a great season.” Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney is again linked with a move from Manchester United to Chelsea, this time by the Daily Express. The Daily Mail say the Blues are willing to spend £10m on 18-year-old St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma. And the Daily Mirror say Mourinho plans to give opportunities to Chelsea’s youngsters, such as Nathaniel Chalobah.
