Ran in the Tunnel Hill 10 Miler today and finished a little faster than last year. Drove back to Carbondale and found out from my runner buddy, Phil, who stayed behind for the awards ceremony, that I placed 2nd in my age group. Holy cow, I had no idea! This is such a gorgeous race, set on an old train route. The temperature was perfect - chilly, but not too cold, and we were blessed with a jewel blue sky, bright sunlight, and brilliant fall leave swirling across the trail. Todays run was easier to manage than last nights trick-or-treat crowd. We handed out candy to over 600 kids - I am NOT joking! (We kept track by the candy count). Glenview was definitely absolute madness last night. Lordy!
