Rand is 100% correct here. The overwhelming majority of Hispanics immigrate into our country in order to seek better opportunity for themselves and their families, much like the ancestors of each and every one of us. If the immigration process was as ineffective as it is now in the early 1900s, I guarantee our ancestors would have found a way to immigrate illegally, as well. The most economically sound and humane thing we can do as a nation is to reform the process of immigrating into America, and ensuring those who want to come here, work hard, and achieve the American Dream are able to do so.
