In a 5-to-4 ruling, the Roberts Court struck down some of the last remaining limits on how much wealthy donors can donate to electoral campaigns. The Government by the People Act would create a system of publicly-financed congressional campaigns that fits squarely within the Supreme Courts recent rulings and would make sure the voices of everyday people are heard.
