Random Thought: With all the utterly sad scenes in the Muslim World one has to endure in the news these days, there is an escape lurking around the corner. Pakistan v/s Sri Lanka series is coming up. I am so saddened by all the madness (Libya just blew up again after some relative calm) that I have gone to the extent of distracting myself with sports and a bit of riffs on the guitar. Dear Pakistani peeps, PLEASE for the love of God, learn something from what is going around in the Muslim world. Do NOT fall for this empty and sham rhetoric of revolution and change. Credit to the Pakistani army (and I dont say so very often) that they have managed the threat to manageable levels to date. Any other country with the problem of the scale of TTP would have descended into chaos by now. For all my disagreements with the Pakistani political and military class, I must give them credit for it. Having said that, PLEASE dont destabilize this country by supporting people who are talking of change. Yes, Id love to see change and I frankly think that the 2 gentlemen who are leading the Change Brigade are better than the combined worth(less) of the current political/military establishment. But, this is NOT the time.
