Random ramblings: So now thanks to everyone for tolerating last nights deep emotional status. Now on to lighter fare: 1. Putting gloves on the hands of a three year old gets me into a murderous rage. I seriously want to use my good China for target practice after that chore. 2. My good China is actually cheap melamine from Target. Not satisfying at all. 3. Make no mistake: 14 PAIRS of underwear does not allow for 14 DAYS of clean underwear for Mr. Poopy Pants. Oh no. Not even close. SMH 3. Just listened to a lovely woman say that at 36, she feels like she is lacking in energy to handle a 3 year old. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Lets not go there. 4. Contemplating Mary: at a very young age (14ish?) she was interrupted from her daily chores by the presence of a beautiful angel who told her that her life was about to be turned upside down. She would be the mother of Gods own son and is to name him Jesus. Her reaction: I am Gods servant. May it be to me as you say. If I am going about my day and get an interruption like that.....with information that would totally change my life like that.......I can only HOPE that I would respond with such humility and obedience. 5. Or wait, now that I think about it, maybe that has happened already, and I just didnt recognize it as such. That doctor saying a loved one died, that positive pregnancy test, that email sparking a new relationship, the day I said I do......didnt those days change the course of my life? Granted it wasnt the virgin birth, but isnt it remarkably similar to what happened to Mary, just not in angelic form? Maybe I planned it, maybe I didnt even see it coming. Did I respond with the same humility as Mary? No. Not even a little bit. Im the one that goes kicking and screaming. Im going to work on that one. Sweet dreams.
