Random thought- As much as I may try to believe that I am not worried about whats hot and whats not in regards to trends and fashion, as well as other physical and material things, I fail and fall to the social demands of our world. Like many of you, we try to show people the best version of who we are, so we crop and edit out our baggage and drama all while attempting to find our identity through these material and socially driven demands that are physically appeasing to the general public. Just as a woman may find security in the make-up that she may wear, believing that her beauty is found there or if she was just a size 2 then she would feel pretty, a man also has means of masking his insecurities... More muscle, more money, hot cars, jewelry, watches, etc, hed find means of accomplishment in that. Well as I continue to grow and mature in life and spiritually in Christ, Im understanding that all of these things we are doing to impress the people we dont even know, get us no further in life then we are if we didnt do them at all. I mean please dont get me wrong being fit and having nice things is not a bad thing, its just that Id like us all to be at a place of understanding that our identity is not in those things and the only one we need to impress is God. If we honor Him above all else, everything will fall into place as it should. Peace & God bless!!
