Random thought: The easiest way to go broke is to deal with the child support courts. If you havent done so already, avoid out-of-wedlock child rearing if you can. I made that mistake when I was 18 and swore that Id never do it again. Theres nothing like having someone take thousands of dollars out of your account every month without giving you any say on where the moneys going and then not even giving you your money back if they accidentally collect too much. It was a nightmare. Also, if the mother never tells the child that youre sending the money, you can still be made to look like a deadbeat. A guy emailed me recently about how hes been paying thousands of dollars for years and his childs mother has been hiding to keep him away from his own baby. The system is horrible. Avoid it if you can....itll help you actually build wealth and not have to spend your entire life playing catch up.
