Random thought about violence and self destruction: Old folks use to make profound and yet misunderstood statements about our behavior (usually bible originated or of unknown origin), and one such statement refuses to leave my mindset this morning, namely~Ignorance is without bliss. This week of increase temperatures has brought inverse increases of peace in the community, with shootings daily and murders blatantly performed day and night. Today words or lyrics or signs or handshakes or looks or colors or even god made me do it~ become the catalysts for get your gun Annie. A simple non aggressive expression of displeasure can lead to an accelerated and escalated stressful situation and a rise in adrenalin urging one to perform foolishly be it road rage or pharmaceutical sales or romantic drama or countless other social scenarios. People are leery in attending even birthday parties, movies, lounges or other normal social functions because of the ever presence of Ignorance is without happiness and joy Complete happiness and joy comes from a single source for many of us who are at the mercy of a broken society, namely keeping my mind on Jesus and yearning for a fresh beginning. We pray for his righteousness to prevail and his guiding light to enter our darkened community, and do for each of us what we cant do for ourselves~make us right again. Just a thought!
