Random thought of the day. You know, maybe I am wrong, but I - TopicsExpress

Random thought of the day. You know, maybe I am wrong, but I dont ever remember one bible passage where Jesus using fear tactics to draw people to himself. He had harsh words for those who directly opposed him (most of those were in the political-religious arena of his time) but I cant think of one encounter where Jesus told a sinner that they had better turn or burn. I personally was drawn to him by his love, his grace and his forgiveness. I am being honest here, I dont think I have one friend I personally know or have known, who came to the Lord through someone telling them they were doomed to hell unless they repented. I know a whole lot of Christians by the way, one of the byproducts of being a believer for over 2/3 of my life. Do I believe in Hell? Yes. Do I believe some people will unfortunately land up there? Yes. Do I have a trembling in my heart for those in my family who have not yet made Christ their number one priority? Yes. Do I tell them they are going to Hell as a means to convince them that they need to surrender their lives to a loving Christ? Hell, no. Do I try to be a walking, breathing, physical manifestation of Gods love, compassion and grace to them? With Heavens help, yes. Who am I representing?
