Random thoughts at the end of the day...from Around the Bend 1. I find garbage placement at the curb, interesting....John taught me alot about this during his years as a Treasury Agent.....sometimes he needed another set of hands when they were looking for evidence of money laundering, drug use, drug dealers....stolen goods.....etc etc etc....it was very revealing.....Those years are gone....but I still find garbage interesting....There are a few very neat and organized trash placers.....in fact you could tie a bow on it...and place it under a Christmas Tree.....in fact often they look better than some I have had under the tree.....There are a few combos...neat trash bags and a covered clean garbage cans neatly placed just so at the curb.....Some have ONE bag.....one little bag...in a pitiful attempt to look as if you actually have something to throw away..Some cut branches, wood into exact lengths stack them just so...all aiming in one direction....wish my home organization were that pristene......then there is...US....We are purging box after box....We toss whatever we can carry, drag, lift, push, walk it from side to side...until we have a mountain of junk....I can hear the garbage truck coming....my heart is racing...will they take it all???? or grab their chest and look toward the heavens as if to say....you have got to be kidding....I quit....but my heroes remove it all...it doesnt take much to make me happy....a disappearing pile of trash will do it....:) 2. I ran as fast as I could run...but he was faster....and the young bully stuffed the June bug down my blouse...I was shrieking with fear...I could feel their little sticky feet crawling on my back under my shirt....I am still creeped out by them....they gather around the patio light....and I still shriek as John goes June Bug hunting....if they are wounded....he kills them.....if they are not...he throws them outside far from the door...just love animals...but sorry....I am not a JB lover....still can feel their little sticky feet......yuk yuk!!!!!! 3. It has been 57 years since highschool ....I was reading some of my yearbooks recently....apparently...I had a great PA...was sweet.. funny....smart...and nonjudgmental of others....I was not in the most popular group....but I was on the edge....what silly lines we draw in our teens as we shuffle to find our way.....and discover who we are....one face at a time...my parents gave me the best they could give to me...My dad was a barber...and we did not have a lot of money....I never owned a car until John bought me one....I hitched rides with other friends who had a little more family disposable income....I remember graduation day....I spoke at our Senior Breakfast...found the speech recently did not remember speaking a single word...I remember the processional...I remember many of the faces...I remember the music....I remember thinking that we would never be all together again as a class...a few would lose their life..within a few months/years... As.I read their words in my annual....little did they know...they would never grow up....I am so glad we were kids together...and they are still close in my heart....There are a few who still post on my timeline...we use FB to keep in touch....We have grown old together..We have known illnesses, deaths, some divorce...some great success...but the common denominator to me...is their hearts....just wonderful kind loving hearts....I wont write names...may miss some....just seeing your names just lift me up...I dont see wrinkle, limps, arthritis :).....uh huh...I see young fresh hopeful faces of the 1957 Northeast Highschool Class and all the memories we shared....I love you all....and am thankful to still have time to tell you so. Grateful to have shared time growing up in the 50s wonderful time to grow up......Donna I am getting tired...sorry...going to skip through a few...perhaps can catch up another time soon.... 5. A woman without a fashion country......I was looking through some magazines at the doctors office a few weeks ago...and realized there are no beauty suggestions for hair, makeup, clothes, exercise programs for those women in their 70s.....I believe all the hints stop when one turns 60....anyone in their 7th decade are up a creek....I guess we are so hopeless... why even waste the ink.....lol lol.. but I have learned what does not really work....eeeeekkkkkk...say no to crop tops, short shorts, tight leggings...cleavage...oh my....I have seen a few who may have dressed in the dark...just trying to dress my age.....but would still like to have a few cute things....when I feel better in September at the end of treatment....may have to design my own..May try a budget makeover.......listen womens magazines....we are out there...and we are consumers too.....eeekkkk 6. Stick on nails.....I tried them once...for I dont really have nails longer than the end of my fingers....John laughed....and then he saw the look on my face...and he gently said....not your best decision....(they looked somewhat witch like)...so I only use them on Halloween.... 7. I found some old ladies class/ retreat lessons....one of my most favorite....The Pit Dwellers....All of us have been or will be pit dwellers sometime in our lives...maybe I will actually have the energy to teach this lesson one day at Champions.... Ok....my energy level is in the basement.....hope you found something interesting....I enjoyed listing them....good night to my FB friends...love, djn .
