Random thoughts follow : I get told all the time you are an awesome mom. Im no more awesome than many of the other moms I know. I actually think most other moms are better than me. I just happen to be given the opportunity to give life (twice) to my sweet boy. I also get told God only gives special babies to special people. That too is a crock of crap. God gives sick and special babies to crappy parents too. Maybe it is to change the parents, maybe it is for some other reason. All I know is that God gave me Brayden and I wouldnt change a thing. I dont deserve such an amazing kid but God gave him to me to raise. I say all the time my kid was put on this earth for a special reason. Maybe that reason is to teach me trust and patience (which I am a very slow learner). Maybe that reason is to invent the cure for all kidney disease. Who knows? But I know that my kid has touched so many lives already in his few short years on this earth and I know he will continue to do so. People (and I have said it too) that God only gives people what they can handle. I think that is only half true. I know He knows what he is doing but dang- I sure wish he didnt have so much confidence in my coping skills. There have been so many times that I have wondered if there was one more thing that could go wrong... And them I turn to Him and give up the control. THAT is what he is teaching me and wants me to do. He helps me thru my toughest times. He gave me my perfect boy and He gave me my amazing husband. He had a plan. I had to learn some lessons before he made my life perfect. But now it is... My life is exactly what it is supposed to be and I love every minute of it.
