Randy CSmoke Williams -- whose stage name is a reference to Williams doppelganger, actor/comedian Chris Tucker -- said he seems himself as an ambassador of hip-hop, the genre he grew to love as a teenager. Hip-hop is an art -- an urban way of communication, he said. But its artists sometimes focus too much on street life, sacrificing the genres organic roots, Williams said.
