Randy Orris In Rev. 4:10 it is the 24 Elders who cast *their* gold crowns before the Throne. What a moment that is going to be. We do not know the identity of these Elders. They do not "represent" raptured saints as many pretribbers teach. They are simply called Elders. They are clothed in white garments, are wearing crowns (Rev. 4:4) which they cast before the Throne of God, worshiping Him who lives forever. On their faces before the Eternal One, they say: "Thou art worthy, YHWH, to receive glory and honor and power: for Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created" (Rev. 4:11). The church is not raptured in the Book of Revelation until Rev. 7:14, right after the opening of the 6th Seal (Rev. 6:12-14), and the opening of the 7th Seal (Rev. 8:1), right before the wrath of God is poured out on a Beast-worshiping, Christ-rejecting world. It is actually "one of the Elders" (Rev. 7:13) who identifies this "great multitude" that suddenly shows up in heaven. The multitude, according to the Elder, are those who have "washed their robes and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb," and have come "OUT OF the Great Tribulation." These are not martyrs, but are those who were "alive and remained" (1 Thess. 4:17) the persecution of the Antichrist Beast. Those who will be "martyred" (Rev. 6:11) by the Beast (Rev. 13:7) will indeed appear in the Book of Revelation in Rev. 20:6). The martyrs will have a special ministry of "reigning with Christ" during the Millennium.
