Rant. At an Italian restaurant. On a high protein / fat diet so I asked if they could do some sort of bacon side. Waitress said they cant. I asked if they had ham. Rather than say that the restaurant doesnt have it, she said (in an exceedingly patronizing and pretentious tone) that in Italia they dont do how you say bacon. I dont care if the restaurant doesnt do it, but I know for a fact that they have ham / pork in Italia (prosciutto, anyone?) and her condescending tone was too much. I have since thoroughly examined their menu to find both prosciutto AND a Carnivora Pizza with bacon included in the toppings. I am now seriously considering ordering said pizza, and please hold the salami, onion, tomato, mozzarella, and base. Much to Belinda and Chris dismay.
