Rant: Pet owners who lose their pets and never go looking for them! There are dozens of stray animals brought into the Humane Society weekly. Some have tags, and/or are reclaimed by their owners. A great number of them are never claimed. Nobody comes looking for them. Do you think your animal just vanished into thin air? Do you assume it was stolen or eaten by coyotes? I dont get it? What is your excuse? How do you not look for an adorable young puppy? When you bring a pet into your home, you commit to being responsible for its health and safety for its entire lifetime. That is 12 - 15 years for most breeds. If you cant do that, get a stuffed animal or a goldfish. If your pet goes missing, figure out how and why it got out and solve the problem and GO LOOK for that pet!!! The number of unclaimed strays in this community is staggering and disgusting.
