Rant: We had a table talk meeting with the I69 folks last year. It was very informative, we got a good idea on what was going on and they said that we would be informed before any times people would be in the neighborhood for any reason. Fast forward to now..they have flagged the yards, staked the yards, taped trees and and now they are dropping trees. We left this morning for a day in Indy and came home to at least 6 trees gone. Our neighbors house across the street has been on the slate to go and about 2 months ago we hear it now isnt. The house had been empty for awhile and she wasnt taking care of it because it was slated to go. She ended up refusing to sign the papers for them to cut the trees unless they agreed to take the house. They agreed. I found this all out from my other neighbor, have heard nothing from I69..matter of fact, I stopped by there the other day and turned them on to some maps I found that were on the official I69 site and THEY were unaware of them (basically the guy there told me I was an idiot until I told him to pull up the link) Im for the project. All I ask is that they get their shit together and do what they said. End rant.
