Rant for the Day: Please dont complain to me about how bad the market is or about how youve had to sell your past 3 sale horses at auction for peanuts or give them away after spending all that money on stud fees, etc., when all you ever post or send out are bad, unflattering snapshots of your horse. When you do that, EXPECT to NEVER sell your horse(s) - and dont blame the economy. Blame yourself. I dont care how cute you think your picture is, you are competing with literally thousands of similar quality horses owned by people who believe their horses deserve to be represented by photos that are at least good representations of the horse (notice I did not say professional photos as some people take very good, accurate and flattering shots of their own horses, and that works!) And believe me, those unflattering shots tend to stick in the minds of prospective buyers. IF, however, you dont want to ever sell your horse, and you dont own his daddy, mama, granddaddy, brother, or sister, or offspring that you might ever want to market, then by all means, keep posting and sending out all those cute shots that make his head look twice as long as his body, or his neck look like it was set on upside down, or his ears look like they belong to a mule, or his back look twice as long as it really is, or like he has no neck, or - my personal favorite, like he is about to tip over because his front end is so much lower than his rear end.
