Rant: or as Peter Griffin would say, you know what grinds my gears? Following my divorce 7 years ago, I started paying much closer attention to what affected my FICO score. Suffice to say that there are a myriad of actions that will negatively impact your credit score, it doesnt take much. At the same time, it requires an act of Congress and damn near a trip through a time portal, to positively affect your credit score. What takes 6 months to a year(and more) to repair, can be undone in a day. Why the inequity? To you young bucks and does out there, with your new gigs and access to credit, tread carefully! You must be ever vigilant to maintain your good credit rating. Believe me when I tell you that it is something that you will be thankful for when you get to be the age of an old fuddy-duddy like me and well before then too.
