Rant time : I really cant stand to see and hear people lament on about how broke they are and how much they are hurting for Money to get something super relevant like Groceries , Rent or Baby Diapers . Then you constantly see those same people taking trips , buying clothes , cars and grown up toys .. the whole while posting their struggle and looking for hand outs . If youve got enough money to buy your self frivolous goodies and the nerve to post about it .. where do you get off guilt tripping Me and the rest of FB with your Sob stories about your needy child , dog , or Grandma ? ... If you got money for your own guilty pleasures and status symbols to keep up with the Joneses than Its YOUR Moral obligation to take care of your OWN Child , Dog , Granny and rent , Not ours ! I know Rodney and I manage to manage our money just fine ! ( and I thank God We are in a good position right now that Rodney has a great paying Job and We are quite comfortable ) BUT that has not always been the case . Many times in the last 13 years our struggle has been very REAL . For example : The week of My hysterectomy Rodney was injured at work and lost his Job - We lived entirely off My side incomes for a full year before Rodney was blessed with the Job He has now . During this time We scrimped and saved and did without all the Extras We would have enjoyed - We paid our bills and sat our asses at home ! We did that because We have priorities ! for example if I have 600$ and My rent is due Im going to use that 600 $ FOR RENT and be quite happy that I have a home to lay My head . It seems like so Many people have their priorities so mixed up they see 600 $ and just think party time ! they dont care if the rents payed or the family is fed .. why bother when you can the instant gratification of a new leather coat or a night at the club making it rain ? When your Kids are crying for dinner ... dont turn to society to beg for them a meal .. calmly sit down and explain to them that they cant have dinner cause Mommy wanted a new designer purse or that Daddy needed to put all the money in a nice ladies underpants at the club .. Im sure they will understand once you explain to them they just arent a priority . I posted this definition last week But I think alot of people missed it merriam-webster/dictionary/priority
