Rant time: ever just drink up a nice buzz, sit down staring blankly into space and lose yourself in your thoughts. Literally just losing track of time. Today I was thinking about how a person changes and what makes them change. Some are under the impression that the key to change is motivation, but they are only half right. The way I see it is, motivation is like a car. It will get you to where you need to go, but without self awareness you will have no destination. But what really motivates a person? Love? Self improvement? Or even fear? That is my question of the night. You have to be careful because even if you believe your intentions are pure, if you let hate or fear take the wheel you will eventually be high jacked by self destruction and taken completely off course. It is a cruel world out there. It is huge and it is scary, but you cant let that turn you into an asshole... especially not to the people that love you. Life is a bumpy highway and the roads are constantly flooded by blood, sweat, and tears. Just remember you dont drive the streets alone. Its okay to throw on your hazards and ask for help because everyone gets stranded once in a while. And yes, a lot of assholes will probably pass you up, its just important that when an opportunity arises you dont let it pass you by because somewhere down the line you might ask yourself what if and that will be worse than any scenario where it may have not worked. You never know what will happen just like you never know where life will take you, so just go with it.
