Rapid City Police Investigating Homicide At around 1:40 a.m. on Jan. 8th, Rapid City Police responded to a report of an assault at 311 E. Adams Street Apt. #9. While en route, officers were informed that a male subject was stabbed with a knife. Upon arrival, officers made contact with 43-year-old Corinne Vermillion of Rapid City. EMS arrived on-scene to initiate CPR on the subject that was stabbed. He was placed in the ambulance and pronounced dead a short time later. The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the RCPD in the ongoing investigation. Based on information obtained during the investigation, Vermillion was placed under arrest and charged with 2nd Degree Murder. Further information about the deceased is being withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin. The investigation is ongoing. We will release more information as it becomes available.
