Rapid weight loss can be successful long term! Traditionally slow and steady weight loss has been the recommended method to successful weight loss and management. However a recent study published in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, has shown that slow weight loss is equally as effective as rapid weight-loss. Participants within the study were equally as likely to regain weight as one another, in fact there were benefits to fast-dieting that were not observed in the slow-dieters group.
