Raquel came through the MRI and trach change with flying colors. We dont have any results from the MRI yet. She got a smaller trach and we will need to do an overnight study before she can get off it completely. She has been completely off the ventilator for six days now! They put a cap on her trach so she can talk better and has to breathe through her mouth and nose more. She was joking with Mike in the hospital about who was the funniest. She maintains that she is funnier than both of us put together. 😊 We had to go back to the place where she stayed before and visit the nurses and physical therapists. They were so excited to see her and see all the amazing progress she has made over the last month! We stopped at Mikes parents to visit on our way home. This is Raquel with her grandmother, Glenna Wilson. We hope to hear back on the MRI tomorrow and will schedule an appointment to stay overnight and get the trach out completely around Thanksgiving. Good news so far!
