Rare posting alert…. I regularly suggest that people who have the same profession as me deliberately stay away from making specific or even closely related comments on social media about their work. This includes comical rants or statements which suggest their personal feelings about the people we commonly deal with. Although it can be refreshing and feel good to make such comments, there is always the slight chance it could bite you later. So in keeping with my theory on that………I’ll speak in hypotheticals: Hypothetically, if you are a genuine Jackhole and chose to drive a car without a driver’s license, you may get away with it for a while. If you don’t have a license because you are suspended for having 1 DUI, hypothetically, you might get your license back, learn a lesson and become a functioning member of society. If you don’t have your license because you have had three DUIs, hypothetically you really are a worthless Jackhole, and the fact that you are supposed to have an interlock ignition device doesn’t really matter…….since remember, you don’t have a license to drive the car that doesn’t have the interlock that it doesn’t have. However if you are supposed to have an interlock ignition device, have three prior DUIs, are drunk, speeding, AND crash your friend’s piece of crap car into the rear end of my wife’s truck while she is stopped and you are going 40 MPH……..AND YOU INJURE HER………… Well…….. then hypothetically I won’t (catch that…..hypothetically I WON’T) do everything in my power to ensure that every manner of justice (some that you can’t even hypothetically imagine) will fall upon your sorry ass in such an impactful and dramatic fashion that you will likely wish you never started drinking your step dad’s whiskey when you were 12. Hypothetically you have an awesome future. Hypothetically you have just created a DUI enforcement Jihad…….All hypnotically speaking that is.
