Rare sighting BY CHARLES PORTOLANO I walk in the woods through the bush to witness any gift that nature graces me; there up ahead, seen between the trees an albino deer, perfect pink nose. The doe stares at me, standing so still. We hold eye contact for 15 seconds, then like a ghost she is gone, but those 15 seconds, a lifetime of joy. I go back often to be graced again. ©2013 PKAs Advocate, PKAs Publication This poem appears in the October/November issue of PKAs Advocate. View the entire issue online at advocatepka.weebly/
