Rarely do undrafted NBA Summer League players make regular season - TopicsExpress

Rarely do undrafted NBA Summer League players make regular season rosters. At best, the make it to D League rosters where they further have to try and earn a call up to the NBA. However, some players find a way. Two seasons ago, Brian Roberts earned a regular season roster spot for a New Orleans team in need of an affordable back up point guard. Upon hearing that sharp shooter Anthony Morrow signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder for more money rather than re-signing with the Pelicans, Courtney Fells told Pels coaches not to worry about losing Morrow because he was Anthony Morrow 2.0. So far in Summer League play Fells has a shooting percentage of 61% and 56% from three point range. Those percentages are even remarkable for Summer League play. If signed, Fells would be a cheap scoring option off the bench. Can Courtney Fells make the regular season roster for the New Orleans Pelicans?
