Rascal will be in our next auction, to help pay off her vet bills, - TopicsExpress

Rascal will be in our next auction, to help pay off her vet bills, shared courtesy of my friend Lesley Turnbull, this was her post this morning: For my friends who were going to help me to raise emergency vet funds for a friends little kitty that was bitten on the head by a chi, causing her to go blind-- I wanted to let you know that Rascal crossed over the Rainbow Bridge last night. She was a sweet grey and white three year old and never did any harm to anyone but was viciously attacked by a dog not but twice her size. He bit her on the head and she almost immediately went blind. I had intended on taking her for an extended period of time since Mr. Snider is stressed enough nursing his wife after her recently heart surgery. I just want you to know that I really appreciated your advice but now that she is in a better place. She was taken to the local Mobile Vet and were only able to pay $25 of the nearly $200 fee to at least get her head wound stapled and two weeks rx of antibiotics (the mobile vet had no access to xrays - Rascal undoubtedly should have had emergency surgery) I may be doing a fundraiser later to raise the balance of their bill. It will be a hardship for them to pay even $25-50 per month. I will let you all know if it will be necessary. We all know that vets are so unwilling to do payment plans because so often they never see their money. Also I would ask that you all say a prayer for the Snider family, to help them overcome their grief at loosing Rascal. They will be burying her today in their yard, next to their other deceased family pets. Thank you all, especially Jessica Willard who is dealing with her own personal emergency at the moment, yet still found the time to advise me on the best course of action. All of you have been so kind.
