Rather disappointed with the developments in the state now..a separate Telangana state would be a major blow to all the 85 million people of Andhra.. I think Andhra as a state had remarkable achievements-it was one of the faster growing states in the country,,it successfully tackled Maoism among all the Indian states,,brought down poverty levels by 9.2%,, emerged as one of the leading states in IT,infrastructure etc.. But now with two separate states Telangana will not have access to the huge gas reserves in the Godavari basin,to the port, and of course,coastal Andhra will lose access to the market in the Hyderabad.. additional funds and infrastructure to build the new capital in the Andhra is another burden.. The govt. is hoping to win s few seats in the next elections by forming Telangana but the decision was made on emotive grounds without taking the details into consideration,, this would stand as a devil to the state..
