Rather than complain about the incoming-and-already-here cold, Im going to say that Im thankful. Im thankful that I have a roof over my head. Im thankful that I have a car with working heat. Im thankful that I have indoor heat. Im thankful for those who risk their lives in the cold and snow to bring emergency services to others. Im thankful that I have an amazing job that I love that affords me the ability to buy warm clothes. And most of all, Im thankful for those in our community who will dedicate their evening tonight and their day tomorrow helping those who have none of these things get to shelter and stay alive. We should not be in our warm beds using our phones to complain on the Internet about how freezing we are, because none of us know what it truly means to be freezing.
