Rather than posting your starting weight (Im too embarrassed to do that anyway!), this link - nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm - will calculate your BMI, which is much easier to share with everyone. It will also include what is a healthy BMI, overweight, and obese. No judging here! Also include your goal weight loss (make it something reasonable, no more than 20 pounds to start with) and your exercise goal. For instance, I do the treadmill, so my goal is to do 20 miles on the treadmill each month. I was considering having everyone post their daily calories, but I think that might be a bit too much (but we can always add that if everyone feels so inclined). For now, there are some really great apps you can use to track your caloric intake. Research says that weighing yourself weekly rather than daily will help to keep you from discouraged, so lets only weigh in on Mondays! If its not a Monday, put that scale away, have someone hide it, or throw some dirty towels over it, but dont step on it until Monday! Okay, I think thats all... Good luck to us!
