Rather than reading Christian material that seeks to refute I - TopicsExpress

Rather than reading Christian material that seeks to refute I prefer to get things from the horses mouth and then come to an informed perspective. In my experience you get a more accurate portrayal from a proponent than you get from Christian apologists who are trying to refute another faith. Heres one from the horses mouth, as interviewed by a Christian. As explained in the interview, Muslims have their version of Just War theory very similar to that of Christians and ISIS is acting apart from that understanding. Mr. Anwar also made a great point that if the two of them were aliens visiting the earth for the first time they would be asking why America is such a violent country, invading many other countries who made no effort to invade our country. I believe Americans need to learn how to look at things from the 30,000 foot view rather than assume we have always taken the high moral ground in everything we do and then put the blame 100% on radical Muslims when we have much of which to be held accountable. Get outside of the pacifist churches like the Mennonites and you just dont see that sort of objectivity. Any attempt to point a finger at ourselves is seen as unpatriotic, America hating, liberal blame-shifting, pandering to the enemy, not honoring our soldiers, etc. etc. Upright people simply dont put all the blame on others and are able to look in the mirror and be honest about what they see.
