Rats - 6:30 AM and I need to be working on the meat locker but its raining. Well, I could work in the carport, except its Sunday and Ill PO the whole neighborhood if I start cranking up a power saw before 8. Still to do: I put 4 of foam insulation in the walls (R20), except the walls are made with 2 x 4s which are only 3.5 thick, so I need to rip up some 1/2 firring strips to even everything up, then re-install the paneling and trim, then install the AC unit and CoolBot. The room has a layer of insulated shiething against the brick so total R value on the walls will finish out at R24. And since I broke half the original trim getting it out, it would seem a trip to Lowes is in order. Then I also need to glue one 2 thick sheet of foam to each of two doors, finally install shelves, braces in the attic and maybe 12 medium and 4 large hooks for hanging prosciutto, capicola, whole hogs and beef, install a layer of foam in the attic as a moisure barrier, and finally finish up by spreading some loose fill insluation getting up to an R60, then block the meat locker attic off from the rest of the attic with some paneling. Piece of cake!
