Rave: Update on our Jake Dog. First, we are overwhelmed with the concern and prayers said on his behalf. We thank you all and truly appreciate the support you have shown our family while Jake has been getting medical attention. This is what we now know FOR SURE. Initially we were told that he most likely ate rat poison or had drank anti freeze. Either wasnt good...after transferring him from Muir Oaks Vet Hospital to Sage Vet Hospital in Concord, it was determined that he had ingested marijuana. He either got it from a cookie or a brownie. The marijuana content is very high in these items and obviously, he wouldnt have been able to tell the difference. To him, it was a cookie or brownie. Currently, his prognosis is very good. Should he continue improving through the night, we should be able to pick him up in the morning. Thank you so much to Jennifer and Connie for posting the pic and finding us. We will keep you all informed as we find out more. Just a heads up though, the vet at Sage informed us that Jake was the third marijuana dog he had treated this very weekend.
